Overall Impressions:

This was a neat pairing, the creamy smoke from the Pearl, mixed nicely with the light vanilla notes from the Monkey Shoulder. This pairing leaves a nice zesty orange flavor on the tastebuds that melts away with each puff.

The Cigar: (La Perla Habana Black Pearl Cobre Gordo)

The Pearl boasts an Ecuadorian Connecticut leaf with a Habana Criollo binder and a robust Nicaraguan filler blend. It’s a nice consistent mild smoke all the way through, value for this stick was pretty good, and it had a nice mellow creamy smoke that is sure to please.

If you are a looking for something light and relaxing, then this stick is great. I was very happy with the burn this produced, only needing to correct it one time. Overall, decent stick.

The Intoxicant: (Monkey Shoulder Batch 27)

Monkey Shoulder Batch 27 is a pleasant and flavorful blended malt scotch whisky. It brings tastes of orange zest, vanilla, spice with a clean finish. Light and full of character, this is another solid option for the price.

Vibe: “Time to Get it Together”

Life has been a wild journey and flux of emotions and change recently. It’s one of those roller coaster rides that sometimes makes us want to get off and decide not enjoy the thrill. However, reflecting back on how far I have made it on this journey, I realized now is no time to stop. We MUST keep pushing forward.

Sometimes we have to hold on for dear life, and just embrace the inevitable drop or flip upside down that is coming in our lives; but to everyone out there, remember that from time to time, you just need to put your hands up and enjoy the journey. It’s what makes us who we are.
